Eileen has exercised her creativity through art, gardening, photography, and music. Specializing in acrylics as her medium, she enjoys watercolor, oil, pen & ink painting.
She is a member of the Farmington Valley Arts Center, Lyme Art Association, Wickford Art Association, and Simsbury Artists Open Studios.  She studied Art at the University of Connecticut.  Her work has appeared in numerous juried shows and a solo Art show at the Arts of Tolland. You can see her work by appointment at her studio in West Simsbury.

 

Artist Statement

“All my life I have been fascinated with the natural world surrounding me. On the one hand the natural world is the greatest abstraction this life has to offer. On the other hand, it is the absolute reality from which we cannot escape. Between these extreme points in nature is where I choose to observer nature and create my art using the tactile qualities to be found in painting with the pallet knife and brush as a key element to my portrayal of the excitement and joy to be found in our natural world.”
